>> Lily picked the second one from the bottom, on the right.
>> I love this time of year, but I’m ready for what’s next. Bring it, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
>> Lily has her first LOOSE TOOTH. I remember when that very tooth made its appearance (almost five years ago to the day) so I am very shaken by this recent development. Yet another sign from the universe that my baby is becoming a big girl.
>> Some sort of switch has flipped in sweet little Sophie. Girlfriend has attitude. And throws tantrums (even on the ground at the state fair). And shouts NO at me all the time. When all this lovely new behavior started a few weeks ago, I thought maybe she was sick or constipated or cutting a tooth. Silly me. She’s just two.
>> I may or may not have started listening to Christmas music. And scouring the internet for the cheapest Barbie Dream House possible.
>> Marc and I celebrated anniversary number nine on October 23 over a dinner of sushi and fish sticks with our little ladies. Just perfect.
>> The girls are obsessed with Monsters Inc. (And the closing scene makes me cry every single time. What is it about the relationship between Sully and Boo?)
>> Mister Monroe is walking!!!
>> At the neighborhood pumpkin-carving on Sunday, Sophie drew on her Halloween costume with permanent marker. And we didn’t actually carve our pumpkin. Halloween pictures should be fun tomorrow.
>> Did you know that putting cupcake batter into a straight-from-the-oven hot pan will basically cause them to erupt like little volcanoes? At least we had the first batch to decorate.
>> Lily got a haircut at a fancy grown-up salon, including her first sink shampoo. And my five-year-old continues to have better hair than me.
>> Marc and I are cooking up an awesome surprise mini-vacation to Great Wolf Lodge for the girls. I CAN’T WAIT. It’s all I can do not to spill the beans.
>> Lily says Happy Halloween!
