Julie’s wedding was so much fun — such a beautiful week of family and friends and laughter and eating (of course) — that I’m having a hard time letting go. Can you tell?

I took more than 1,000 photos during the week (here’s part one), of everything from barn-decorating to smiling faces around the dinner table. But once we got to the reception, I just put my camera down. I wanted to have fun, to really be present, and not worry about light and shutter speed and angles and documenting every single beautiful or silly or love-filled moment (because there were too many to count). Wedding photographers, I bow down. I have no idea how you pull off the magic that you do.

Here are my favorite shots from the wedding day. Little moments leading up to the big one. And a few from the celebration after (from Lily’s perspective, too).

So much love.

  1. The pictures are amazing but the true beauty of the whole week is the love between this couple and the way they look at each other. They have everything in the proper order..They both love God, and HE is the reason they are together as husband and wife. Their parents brought them up to cherish family and this will continue to hold strong as they have one of their own. Words can not describe the wedding, not even the rain could change the atmosphere.
